Cys C is an ideal endogenous marker of glomerular filtration rate(GFR), which can be used to evalsuate renal function injury. Cys C has the advantages of high specificity, good accuracy and strong sensitivity. In addition, Cys C can reflect the recovery of renal function in a timely manner, especially for patients with delayed graft function, which can diagnose the kidney damage rapidly caused by acute rejection or drug treatment. In other aspects, the sensitivity of Cys C detection of diabetic nephropathy is 40% and the specificity is 100%, which is a sensitive and practical indicator. Cys C is also a better indicator for identifying the Kidney function of patients with liver cirrhosis and it can be used to monitor the condition of GFR of perinatal women. Cys C has a good diagnostic accuracy for preeclampsia.
